Compton, CA (August 6, 2020) – Several people were injured during a traffic accident that took place late on Tuesday night, August 4th, in the Compton neighborhood of Los Angeles. It occurred at the intersection of Wilmington Avenue and Greenleaf Boulevard at around 11:48 p.m.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a minivan collided with an unspecified vehicle at the intersection. Paramedics with the Los Angeles Fire Department arrived at the scene where they attended to the victims and firefighters extricated at least one trapped person inside the minivan.
One of the extricated victims, identified only as a woman, was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. Several others suffered various injuries but authorities have not reported on exactly how many were injured or their present conditions. The events that led to this crash remain under investigation.
