Long Beach, CA (August 13, 2020) – Early on Thursday morning, August 13th, one person was killed in a traffic collision that took place on the 710 Freeway in Long Beach. It happened a little south of the 405 Freeway at approximately 3:45 a.m.
According to the California Highway Patrol, at least two vehicles collided in the southbound lanes of the freeway, resulting in lane closures throughout the area. Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene where they worked to assist all those involved.
One victim was ultimately pronounced deceased but no details concerning their name, age, or gender have been reported. At this time, officers have not commented on whether or not anyone was ticketed for their involvement.
Authorities with the CHP are actively investigating the events that led to this incident.
