Long Beach, CA (August 16, 2020) – According to authorities, a two-year-old boy was struck and killed by a motor vehicle on Saturday night, August 15th in Long Beach. The fatal collision was reported at or near the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and Artesia Boulevard.
Officials say the boy was walking in the area when he was hit by an unspecified vehicle for reasons that are under investigation. Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene where they pronounced the child deceased from his injuries.
At this time, authorities have not released the identity of the child. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the police and there was no word on any charges.
