Malibu, CA (August 26, 2020) – According to the California Highway Patrol, one man died in a car crash that was reported on Tuesday afternoon, August 25th. The fatal accident happened at the intersection of Stunt and Schueren Roads in Malibu at around 3:00 p.m.
Authorities with the CHP said that a 17-year-old boy from Oxnard was driving a 1996 Mazda Miata when he lost control and crashed down the side of an embankment near the intersection. Emergency crews with the Los Angeles County Fire Department were dispatched to the scene where they transported one passenger to a nearby hospital with severe injuries.
The passenger, now identified 18-year-old Adrian Salinas, of Oxnard, was pronounced deceased at the hospital a short time later. Authorities have not released any information on the condition of the driver as details are limited at this time.
The events that led to this incident remain under investigation.
