Van Nuys, CA (August 27, 2020) – At least one person was hurt during a collision between a passenger vehicle and a Los Angeles Fire Department rescue ambulance. The accident was reported early on Thursday morning, August 27th, at the intersection of Victory and Van Nuys Boulevards in the Van Nuys neighborhood.
According to authorities, an LAFD rescue ambulance collided with a black Chevrolet SUV at the intersection while responding to a call. The impact of the collision forced the SUV into a bus stop where it came to rest against a nearby building.
Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene where one person involved in the crash was transported to a local hospital. The condition of the victim has not been reported at this time.
The events that led to this incident remain under investigation. No further information has been reported.
