Multi-Vehicle Accidents in South Los Angeles
Accidents that involve three or more vehicles may be caused by a single negligent driver or they can be the result of several different factors occurring simultaneously, such as unexpected deceleration, debris in the roadway, inclement weather, and drivers who are speeding, drowsy, drunk, or distracted.
When an accident involves multiple vehicles and multiple drivers, establishing liability can be a complicated undertaking that will consume a lot of time and a lot of resources. A methodical investigation is the only way to determine which driver was at-fault, particularly since more than one driver might be liable. Once fault is proven, the driver or drivers responsible are the ones accountable for the losses sustained by others.
Adding fuel to the fire is California’s comparative fault policy. If you have been involved in a multi-vehicle accident, your liability and your ability to obtain financial compensation for your losses will be affected by the degree of fault determined to be yours.
