Traffic accidents in California, unfortunately, occur hundreds of times per day. Recent statistics concerning the annual auto accident rates in California state that approximately 650 car accidents per day occur in the Golden State. Approximately 9 people per day are killed in California auto accidents or about 3,200 per year. This is approximately 10% of the national accident rate, which sits at around 32,000 people who lose their lives annually in auto accidents in the United States.

Some examples of driver negligence include but are not limited to; Fatigue, intoxication, and distraction.
