Florence, CA (July 1, 2020) – A total of seven people, including five children were hospitalized after two vehicles collided in the Florence section of Los Angeles. The accident happened on Tuesday afternoon, June 30th, around 1:00 p.m.
According to authorities, a Mazda hatchback and a Chevrolet Trailblazer collided along Avalon Boulevard, in the vicinity of 77th Street. The crash caused the SUV to overturn and slam into the side of a box truck.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene where they rescued an adult driver and five children of various ages from the overturned SUV. Two children were hospitalized with critical injuries while all other wounds were considered non-life-threatening.
The events that led to this incident are under investigation.
