Los Angeles, CA (June 19, 2020) – One person was killed and two others seriously injured following a motor vehicle accident in the 1300 block of Silver Lake Boulevard. The accident occurred on Wednesday morning, June 17th, at approximately 11:00 a.m., according to officers.
Authorities said that a Ford Explorer occupied by two people struck a man on a motorized scooter before crashing into L&E Oyster Bar in Silver Lake. Officials with the Los Angeles Police Department and the Los Angeles Fire Department were dispatched to the scene where the operator of the scooter, identified as a man in his 50’s, was pronounced deceased.
The occupants of the SUV, a 52-year-old man, and a 72-year-old woman, were rushed to a nearby hospital in serious condition. No further details were reported as officers with the NYPD continue to investigate the cause of this incident.
