Car Accidents in California
Car accidents throughout the state of California send more than 150,000 people to area hospitals with injuries each year. Roughly 50,000 of these accidents happen here in the Los Angeles area. When victims are injured in accidents, they are often forced to undergo extensive medical treatment. Numerous victims require emergency surgery and have to spend several days or even weeks in area hospitals. Although there are a plethora of treatment options available to help victims in the aftermath of collisions, they are extremely costly and come with no promise of a full recovery. Although many accidents are preventable, there are a large number of collisions that continue to cause harm to victims and damages to their families every single day.
Regardless of how careful we are when entering roads across our state, we cannot control how others are going to act. Regrettably, over 75% of collisions are caused by negligent, reckless, and distracted drivers. When victims are harmed in auto accidents as a result of another driver's actions, it is crucial that they reach out to a car accident attorney in California as soon as possible. Victims may be entitled to compensation to help alleviate the financial burdens they face moving forward.
