Norwalk, CA (September 29, 2020) – This past Sunday night, a car slammed into the side of a Norwalk medical building. Two people were injured in the crash and a hole was left in the wall of the structure.
The incident occurred at approximately 10:45 p.m. on Sunday night, September 27th, at the Coast Plaza Medical Building located at 12820 Studebaker Road. It happened at the entrance to the 105 Freeway.
The LA County Fire Department stated that a driver exiting the freeway lost control of their vehicle and collided with the side of the building, leaving a large hole and injuring two people inside the car at the time.
Paramedics were present at the scene of the collision in order to assist those with injuries. It was reported that two people inside the car at the time, a driver and one passenger, sustained injuries and were transported to a nearby medical center for treatment.
No one involved in the accident has currently been identified.
No one inside the building at the time of the collision was hurt, according to an LAPD spokesperson.
Intoxication was not believed to be a factor in the crash.
An investigation into the circumstances of the wreck will be carried out by local police.
