Bruce Brusavich, a founding partner of Agnew Brusavich, has authored an article about Assembly Bill 35, recently signed into law by Governor Newsom.  The bill brings forward many changes to the Medical Injury Compensation Reform Act (MICRA) of 1975, which put in place several limitations to noneconomic damages.  This article outlines the success of the CAOC's efforts to reform MICRA, and how Assembly Bill 35 will alter the landscape of noneconomic damages.
